  • Who we serve

    Helping Dancers Shine

We aim to provide dancers with access to quality, affordable dancewear and shoes, reducing waste and promoting a sense of community. Our Mission What We Do What is Encore?
Encore is a community service initiative started by June Ella Hyams when she was in the 6th grade. Beautifully designed donation boxes are housed at dance studios throughout the Charleston, South Carolina area. Lightly used or new dancewear, athletic wear, and shoes are donated to the boxes, and once the box is near full, we collect, clean, and ship the items to those in need.

How did Encore begin?
June Ella noticed that she was growing quickly out of her new dancewear and her mother noticed she had even outgrown some dancewear that still had tags on them before she got the chance to wear them. This became the idea of sharing these clothes with other dancers. Dancewear can be expensive, so this program helps to ease the financial burden for growing dancers as well as putting the dancewear back into good use for their own "encore".

    Non-Profit Organizations

We send donations to non-profit organizations who are committed to making dance accessible to everyone. If you know of an organization who could use our services, please fill out the form below.
